Sallah - Windows HPC 2008 Cluster  | | Head Node: SunFire 4150 |
The Sallah* HPC cluster was funded by a gift from Microsoft and matching grant from ND EPSCoR. Sallah is a three node test cluster consisting of a head node and two compute nodes. The purpose of the cluster is to test HPC software applications in an HPC environment that uses Windows HPC Server 2008 as its operating system. Manufacturer: Sun Microsystems - Head Node - 3.17GHz Dual socket, Quad core Xeon processor with 12MB cache, 16GB of RAM, and eight 146GB hard drives.
- Compute Nodes - 2.5GHz Dual socket, Quad core Xeon processor with 12MB cache, 16GB of RAM, and a 146GB hard drive.
* The cluster's namesake is the Sallah character from the film, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
