Account Requests

Request includes

  • the name of the Principal Investigator;
  • the purpose of the request;
  • an estimate of the amount of computer time required;
  • an estimate of the number of compute nodes required to complete the research project; and
  • a listing of user accounts affiliated with the given project.

Depending on the level of estimated high performance computing resources required, scheduling decisions will be made by the Center Director in consultation with the URC IT Subcommittee.

The Principal Investigator of the Project Request will be held responsible for the conduct of all project participants.

User Support

System Resources

  • System administrator will monitor and negotiate number of CPUs, job length, priorities, etc.
  • Initial Disk quota 100 GB
  • User is responsible for backup of user applications and/or data

Security responsibility

  • All user access to cluster will be via ssh/scp
  • All users will comply with NDUS/UND acceptable use policies.
  • Users must keep their desktop systems current with respect to patches and virus protection.

Application installation

  • Installation requests require approval by Dr. Richard Schultz, with System Administrator consultation.
  • User must license any copyrighted applications/libraries they add.
